Welcome to the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Peradeniya. CS (as the department is usually known for historical reasons) is renowned for the quality and intensity of its educational experience.

News & Events
[27-Nov-2009] Two new courses (CO503: Advanced Embedded Systems and CO551: Theory of Computation) added to the Techinical Electives.
[16-Sep-2009] The department has undergone IESL accreditation on Sep-17th and 18th. The IRQUE QAA team evaluated the department in February 2009 endorsed its program as good.
[12-Sep-2009] The department has organized project demonstrations, lab displays and sessions with industry personnel (including company presentations and open forums) during the industrial day event (EFI'09) organized by the faculty on Sep-11th and 12th.
[23-Feb-2009] - The graduates of E/02 Computer Batch donated equipments worth of Rs. 300k to the department. A formal 'handing over' ceremory was held during the ACES get-together dinner.
[21-Feb-2009] - The student body of the department, ACES, organized its annual get-together today. The event started with a six-a-side cricket match in the day and followed by a dinner.
[12-Feb-2009] - The department has undergone a quality assurance review. A team from the QAA Council of UGC (an IRQUE project) visited our department between 10-Feb to 12-Feb.
